There is a Conspiracy Theory that says that the Forest Fires were started by Antifa, but the Facts say otherwise!

Maybe you have heard or read one of the conspiracy theories which seeks to put the blame for the fires on extreme political groups, like the Proud Boys, or those Anti-Fascists, or the Boogaloo Bois; well the experts tell us that none of these groups are responsible for the fires.

“On Friday, the FBI released a statement addressing rumors spread over social media that “extremists” were starting the fires.
“FBI Portland and local law enforcement agencies have been receiving reports that extremists are responsible for setting wildfires in Oregon. With our state and local partners, the FBI has investigated several such reports and found them to be untrue,” the agency said in a statement. “Conspiracy theories and misinformation take valuable resources away local fire and police agencies working around the clock to bring these fires under control. Please help our entire community by only sharing validated information from official sources.” [5]
“On Sept. 9, police in Medford, Ore., where the Almeda fire has consumed hundreds of homes, took to Facebook to dismiss rumors that they had arrested members of Antifa or the Proud Boys — a right-wing organization of self-described “Western chauvinists” — in connection with the blaze.
“We did not arrest this person for arson, nor anyone affiliated with Antifa or ‘Proud Boys’ as we’ve heard throughout the day,” the police department wrote. “Also, no confirmed gatherings of Antifa which has also been reported.” [4]
“FBI Portland and local law enforcement agencies have been receiving reports that extremists are responsible for setting wildfires in Oregon,” Cannon said in a statement Friday. “With our state and local partners, the FBI has investigated several such reports and found them to be untrue. Conspiracy theories and misinformation take valuable resources away local fire and police agencies working around the clock to bring these fires under control.”
Contrary to the rumors, some people who have participated in Portland’s racial justice protests have brought supplies to firefighters and evacuees. A group called the Portland Witches, a fixture at the city’s months-long protests, was in Clackamas County on Thursday dropping off two vans full of supplies. The group said it particularly wanted to help immigrant communities affected by the fires…
Police and fire officials say they will investigate the causes of all the fires the state faces after conditions are more stable and life and property are protected. For now, those officials are clear: There’s no evidence Antifa or any other political group is committing arson at this time, and online speculation wastes precious resources needed to save lives.” [3]
Now, we do know of a couple of the fires that can be labeled as arson, but maybe not deliberate arson. Some of the fires have been started by the use of fireworks.
“One of the multiple wildfires burning in California was started during a gender-reveal party, officials said.
A “smoke-generating pyrotechnic device” used at the party sparked the El Dorado Fire in San Bernardino County, Cal Fire said in a press release.
The fire started Saturday at 10:23 a.m. PT (1:23 p.m. ET) at the El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa and spread from the park north on to Yucaipa Ridge, according to the release.
The fire has since grown to 8,600 acres as of Monday and is just 7% contained, according to the San Bernardino National Forest.” [2]
“A gender reveal party is an Instagram-friendly event held during pregnancy in which the parents “reveal” the baby’s sex to friends and family. That reveal can sometimes take the form of an explosion in the color of blue for a boy or pink for a girl.” [2]
Clearly, these people did not mean to set a fire, but they still are facing charges of arson. Then there is Mr. Bakkela, who “was arrested on arson charges Friday for allegedly setting a fire earlier this week in southern Oregon, while the region was already beset with the Almeda Fire.
Michael Jarrod Bakkela, 41, was charged with two counts of arson, along with 15 counts of criminal mischief and 14 counts of reckless endangering.” [5]
Two things that we see with Mr. Bakkela are that it isn’t clear whether or not he was trying to set anything but a campfire on fire and it is clear that the only extreme group that he belongs to is that of Meth users. Meth is one of the worst drugs out there which can really affect one’s brain negatively! These two cases of arson do tell us that neither the Radical Left nor the Radical Right is behind these fires. Some times when emotional pressures like the fear of losing one’s home to fire can cause people to look for a scapegoat to blame. It is important that we blame the right people! But who is responsible for all these fires?
“A confluence of extreme weather conditions set the stage, said Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles. First came a record-breaking, continuing heatwave across the state. Temperatures in Death Valley hit 130F and the state saw rolling blackouts for the first time in nearly two decades as millions of Californians seeking to cool their homes strained the electrical grid.
Next, a tropical storm in the Pacific Ocean spun moisture toward California, triggering a rare lighting storm that zapped California more than 10,800 times over a three-day period, sparking small fires across the Bay Area and northern California. Then the humidity dropped and winds picked up, stoking the small flames until they erupted into full-blown infernos. On Saturday, one of the wildfires in northern California spawned afire tornado – a 30,000ft smoky swirl that frizzled with lightning, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a first-of-its-kind weather alert.
The firenado died down, but many fires peppered across the state continued to expand. “Some of these fires started to merge, feeding off each others’ energy and growing even faster,” said Scott Stephens, a fire scientist at UC Berkeley. “Now many of these fires are changing behaviors and burning so quickly. It scares me because just so many people are in harm’s way.” [1]
So, if we were to answer the question of who is responsible for the fires, we find that two are responsible. First mankind is responsible for having ignored all the warnings about Global Warming and Climate Change. That is allowed for drier and hotter weather which has primed the land for massive fires.
“Disentangling the weather from the climate change is a perennial problem. “The specific set of circumstances that come together to create any specific fire are complex,” said Chris Field, director of the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment. “But there’s no doubt that the risk of catastrophic wildfires is increasing dramatically because of climate change.”
Over the past few months, we’ve grown accustomed to talking about the underlying health conditions that make some people more vulnerable to Covid-19. In the case of fires, climate change is the underlying condition – subtly eating away at California’s landscape and making the state vulnerable to natural disaster.
“The latent potential for more extreme, more destructive fires is increasing year after year with every warmer year,” Swain said. In a paper published this month, Swain and his colleagues found that the frequency of autumn days with extreme, fire-fueling weather in California has more than doubled since the early 1980s. “The problem isn’t that wildfires are happening, it’s that the outcomes are worse when they do occur,” he explained.” [1]
People can close their eyes to the reality that the planet is getting hotter and with that, we have many problems to face. Dying in a fire is only one of them. Disease like COVID to live and spread just like wildfires, all thanks to Global Warming! We see the weather out of control, fires burn hotter and over larger areas, disease pops up more often and spread fast, hurricanes and floods are bigger and more destructive. This is why we must stop Global Warming and Climate change.

The second one responsible for the fires is God, for He allowed the lightning to strike some 10,800 times over a three-day period. Now, before someone starts to trash God, let’s remember that had man not made the earth so flammable, those lightning strikes would not have let to the fires. So, before you start blaming the Far Left or the Far Right for the fires, remember that the real culprits in this are you and me. We have to stop killing the planet before doing so, kills us.

What can we do to reverse the effects of Climate Change?  What do you think of people who refuse to let go of their conspiracy theories about Antifa?  Why do some continue to believe and spread the lies even after the FBI has made it clear that these fires were not started by Antifa or by the Proud Boys, or Boogaloo Bois?  What will happen if we do not stop Global Warming?
