The Obstructionists are whining about being Obstructed ~ Pure Hypocrisy

Monday, June 5th, 2017

It’s amazing the twisted world of Trump Republicans, after over 500 filibusters by Republicans against the real president Barack Obama, Trump now is whining that the Democrats aren’t falling over to summit to his will.  Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) took to the Senate floor Thursday to mark a milestone of sorts: eight years of obstructing and insulting the nation’s first black president.

If Republicans could obstruct everything that President Obama put on the table, shouldn’t Trump Republicans avoid whining that Trump is being obstructed?  The truth is that the Democrats are not obstructing, they are doing their jobs.  That is something which the Republicans who constantly obstructed a legitimate president cannot say with all honesty.

A Jewish cemetery near Philadelphia was just vandalized. Is this the start of a trend? Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Ben Mankiewicz, the hosts of The Young Turks, discuss. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. https://www.tytnetwork.com/go

Police say vandals attacked a Jewish cemetery in Northeast Philadelphia this weekend, just a week after a similar incident was reported at a Jewish burial ground in suburban St. Louis.

According to Jim McReynolds, a detective for the Philadelphia Police Department, at least 75 to 100 headstones at Mount Carmel Cemetery were discovered knocked over Sunday morning. Several of the headstones were broken. Police are investigating the incident as a case of vandalism….

Two Muslim American activists started a fundraiser to help pay for repairs at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery. More than $130,000 had been donated in less than a week. On Sunday afternoon, the organizers of the campaign posted an update saying they had contacted Mount Carmel to offer funds from the campaign.

It’s easy to put the blame for all the anti-Semitic attacks, the attacks on Muslims, Immigrants and African-Americans on the extreme Trump followers, but we must be careful and as Cenk Uygur said in the video, push for an investigation.  We all know that Trump has been pushing rhetoric and policies which promote hate.  Trump finally spoke out about these attacks, but only so that the Right could say that he did.  His heart really didn’t seem to be in that address, all he did was to read a prepared statement which was clearly not his own words.

To be clear Hate groups have been active long before Trump starting his campaign.  We also know that an young Donald Trump was a strong contributor to racism. Many would like to forget Trump’s past, but there are far too many racists who are embracing it.

One early red flag arose in 1973, when President Richard Nixon’s Justice Department — not exactly the radicals of the day — sued Trump and his father, Fred Trump, for systematically discriminating against blacks in housing rentals.

I’ve waded through 1,021 pages of documents from that legal battle, and they are devastating. Donald Trump was then president of the family real estate firm, and the government amassed overwhelming evidence that the company had a policy of discriminating against blacks, including those serving in the military.  Read more…

Donald Trump’s rhetoric has encouraged acts of terror in his own country, the head of a leading American Jewish organization has said.

Speaking to The Independent the day after four of his organization’s US offices were targeted by bomb threats, Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), said Mr Trump had helped create a situation where racist extremists felt “emboldened”. ..

Mr Greenblatt, whose organization combats hate crime and anti-Semitism, criticised Mr Trump for both his campaign rhetoric and his slowness to condemn about 140 bomb threats to US Jewish institutions that have occurred since January, the month the 45th President took office.

These, he said, had gone way beyond threats to the ADL’s offices in Atlanta, Boston, Washington and New York, with evacuations of schools and homes for older people leading to “threatened pre-school children being hustled out of classrooms, elderly patients being wheeled out of their care programmes”.

Other minorities had been similarly affected, said Mr Greenblatt, with some suffering fatalities. Two weeks ago, in Kansas, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, an Indian immigrant was shot dead after allegedly having been mistaken for an Iranian.

“We write to underscore the need for swift action with regard to the deeply troubling series of anonymous bomb threats made against Jewish Community Centers (JCCs), Jewish day schools, synagogues and other buildings affiliated with Jewish organizations or institutions across the country,” wrote the Senate in a letter to the White House.

Because of this pressure from the Senate, Trump has spoken out against these hate crimes.  It might have been weak, but at least it is a start.  The Alt-Right White supremacists have been excited by Trump’s elections, for they feel like he is one of them.  This might be the major reason for the raise in hate crimes, but Trump’s feeding the hate with racist rhetoric during the campaign and his slowness to speak out against it has been a great aid to the growing hate culture in the United States.  The positive side to all of this is that there are more of us opposed to racism than there are bigots.  The fact that Muslim groups have been collecting more than enough money to prepare the damages.  It is time for us all to ban together and say no to Hate, we just won’t take it any more.

Trump’s Business Just Got Chinese Approval To Operate Escort Services

Thursday, March 9th, 2017

Author: DonnaMM

The hypocrisy of Republicans is unbelievable!  My God, if a Democrat had been grabbing women by there private parts, cheating workers out of their pay, refusing to show their tax records and getting golden showers in Russia, the Republicans would have impeached him in a second.  Why is it okay to promote prostitution if the man doing it is a Republican?  Trump makes me so sick!
President Donald Trump’s business interests are diverse. He owns hotels, real estate, golf courses, and casinos as well as other smaller ventures like his Trump Steaks brand. Now Donald Trump has decided to begin the process of creating businesses centered around vice. The Chinese government has granted preliminary approval for 38 new Trump trademarks, including one for a Trump escort service! Link
Escort service, ‘Prostitution’ not only prostitution via slavery.  These women aren’t free to say “No!”  Arguably, no woman would ever choose to be a prostitute.  They are forced into prostitution by many different ways.  Poverty is the biggest recruiting tool for prostitution. When a Mother can’t feed, put clothing on her children or a roof over her their heads, yes she will prostitute her body.  Then you have the men forcing women into prostitution.  There is an actual industry which kidnaps young girls and sells them into prostitution.  Men, don’t kid yourself by thinking that those women are prostituting themselves because they like it and would be doing so no matter what.

Trump Accused Obama Of Wiretapping Him and the Obama’s Response was Perfect

Saturday, March 4th, 2017

Author: Matt King

This morning, President Donald Trump lashed out in an impulsive tweetstorm accusing President Obama of ordering the wiretapping of Trump Tower in a pathetic attempt to deflect attention away from the investigation into suspected collusion between the Trump team and agents of the Russian Federation.

Instead, he ended up just throwing more fuel on the fire that threatens to engulf his entire administration.

Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis just responded with this statement that should put the matter to rest:

“A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.

As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”  Read the rest of the story by clicking here

Donald Trump is a sociopathic liar who has found himself in a world of trouble from his seemingly illegal association with the Russians.  The oldest trick in the book for someone caught with their hand in the cookie jar is to accuse someone else of doing the same or worse

Trump may have thought he was helping to shift the spotlight off of himself and onto President Obama by giving credence to a ridiculous Breitbart conspiracy that alleges a secret “Obama shadow government” is behind the information leaks and the protests across the country.

Instead, he just dug himself deeper into the hole. All of this just makes the need for a special prosecutor to lead the investigation into the Trump, his team and their alleged collusion with Russian agents all the more urgent.

Trump’s accusation of Fake News to those who weren’t favorable towards him is another example of this projection which he uses so well to divert attention away from himself.  The Fake News is coming from sites like Breitbart who are always giving Trump favorable coverage.  Trump is doing the same thing here with his accusation of being wire tapped by President Obama.  Trump simply doesn’t want to face the music for his treasonous alliance with the Russians.  Yes, it is time for a special prosecutor to investigate Trump and if Trump really thinks that a good lawyer could make a good case because of his foolish accusations, then let him hire the best at his own expense.  It’s time for the truth Donald, I know that you aren’t use to it, but we, the American People will have it.  Post your comments here.

If Trump is against Trade Deals, I’ll be For Them ~ Is that a Mistake?

Saturday, March 4th, 2017

Author: Marty Martorella

It use be that Republicans were for trade agreements and Democrats have historically been opposed to them. New polls show that this is switching, as reported on the Thom Hartmann show. The primary reason is that Trump is is toxic that when he seems to be for or against something it is easy to take the opposite position. We must be careful, because somethings are wrong or right regardless of who is advocating them. Instead of opposing Trump’s stand against trade deals which is bringing many Republicans to our cause, we must remember that these are our causes. Why have such things been our causes? Because they are the right things!

If Trump’s rhetoric brings people to our side on a issue, we must own that issue. We must hold Trump’s feet to the fire, proclaim that that such things are Liberal principles which we have called for over many years. We must also face the fact that most of this is just Trump rhetoric which he has no intention of following through with.

What is dangerous with his ideals is that he is championing the old Right-wing cry against regulations. Here is the fact without political bias, regulations protect the public, but they also limit the profits of the rich. This is why Trump Republicans want to remove all regulations, they hinder their ability to make massive amounts of money. The fact that people lose their lives or are crippled doesn’t matter so long as the rich can get richer.

We need to get ahead of Trump on the trade issue by proclaiming that we are glad to see that Republicans are finally are now siding with our operations to trade deals. We must remind the public that we have opposed those trade deals for years, because that such deals wipe out regulations designed to protect the public. We must remind that such deals have kept the income of the majority of Americans artificially low. Those deals are hazards to the health of the public and means that as a people, we need a universal health care system which covers all Americans. If Trump Republicans are finally embracing the Democratic position that trade deals harm America, then they should join Democrats in repelling all of them and make it clear that these are treaties which can only be passed into law with two thirds of the Senate. Without that two thirds approval, no trade treaty can be placed into law.

Let us get ahead of the Republicans in the opposition to trade deals and own it. We are the majority and can be the force for good, but we cannot allow ourselves to be manipulated into opposing our own mortal positions just because someone like a Trump is giving lip service to them. Post your comments here.
