The Debates

Written by Marty on October 5th, 2004

    After the debates the question that <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />America must answer pertains to who has a better grasp of the issues.  Poverty seems unchecked, terrorism rages on, and the world is at risk.  Some people think that world would be the same no matter who is in the White House.
    Such fatalistic arguments hold little merit with history.  When the country was locked into the Great Depression President Hoover wanted to stay the course of cutting the taxes of the rich.  That economic approach has been proven not to work; in fact it brought on the Great Depression.  FDR had a different philosophy; He raised the taxes of the rich and put America back to work.  It was his New Deal which saved this country from communism and put us on the road to prosperity.
   The people in the White House and Congress can make a real difference.  In the next poll we ask who understands the issues best and will make the country a better place to live.

Sen. Kerry

   Many people say that Cheney is the one running the White House, not Mr. Bush. So, we ask;

   This White House is still lying to the American People, there was no connection between 9/11 and Iraq. Just listen to this clip;
     Dick Cheney had said that if the Kerry/Edward team wins there would be another terrorist attack. There are two polls we are running;

   The results of the next will start showing up after the debate.

   In our poll we asked you to rate Bush an Kerry, in a scale of 1 to 10, Mr. Bush was given between a 4 and 5, where Mr. Kerry was given a score between 8 and 9. We also asked “Who won debate one?” 69% said Kerry and 30% said Bush. You can see these results at the closed poll page. In the CNN poll “53 percent of Thursday's debate watchers interviewed said Kerry did the better job, compared with 37 percent who favored Bush.” Zogby poll revealed this; “A USA Today/CNN/Gallup poll of likely voters taken over the weekend found Bush's eight-point lead over Kerry in a Sept. 26 poll had evaporated and both candidates would get 49 percent of the vote if the election were held today. The margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points.”    The following are audio clips from the first debate, the point should be noted that there is an erroneous attempt to equate Iraq with 9/11.

    First let me tell you that there is a dictionary site on the main page that might help you. I mean no insult by saying that.
    Now, we have shown more respect for this President and Vice President than was ever shown to Bill Clinton or Al Gore. Pointing out the flaws of this administration is not Bush bashing!

    I am not sure if you are the person that I think that you are, but for Dick Cheney to threaten America with another attack if John Kerry is elected was very treasonous!

  6. Anonymous says:

    Maybe he was wrong, but it wasnt treason.

    For saying that we would be attacked if we choose Kerry! There is no excuse for this type of fear mongering!

  8. Anonymous says:

    What do you call threatening the lives of Americans?

  9. Anonymous says:

    Yeah, it was okay to bash Clinton wasn't it! I'm sick of these double standards.

    I call that treason! I can't believe just how deceitful these Republicans are being. I know a lot of Republicans and they aren't this insincere, it just must be those running their party. Just the fact that they claim God is in their party only. God belongs to neither party, but I think He likes John Kerry. :o)

    Bush has no idea what it is like to work for a living. Do you remember him saying repeatedly

    You would think that they gave Clinton the red carpet treatment by how they talk! Has anyone said anything about Bush that is half as bad as they said about Clinton? I think not!

    Hi Donna,
    You got Bush right, GW is clueless what it is like to do a real days work, the man failed at everything he tried. The only thing that ever saved him was the rich friends of his daddy. So, it is to them that he holds all his loyalty and devotion!
    As it is Mart Man, the debate score is 3 n O, even when Bush knew the questions in advance he blow it! The last debate is Kerry

    In that clip Bush claimed that the Iraqis attack us and that was why we had to take military action against them. John Kerry had to set him straight “Hussein and Iraq” didn't attack us it was,”Osama and Al-Qaida” Bush let Osama go so he could go after Hussein. Because of that terrorism is going to go up and Bush isn't doing anything that will really stop it!
